Intention

We are now most of the way through March and the Spring Equinox is upon us.

Do you make New Year’s Resolutions?  I usually don’t.  I just kind of wing it, with a vague idea of what direction I want to head during the year.

This year I tried something different.   For me, this year will be full of changes, new starting points, moving forward, personal growth and awakening.  I wanted my theme for the year to be  Intention.  I wanted to set down all the baggage I’ve been bringing forward, leave it behind, let it be finished.

Right away, a beautiful poem by Mary Anne Radmacher showed up on my Face Book page.  It put into words exactly what I was feeling and wanted to do:

She danced.                                                                                                  She sang. She took. She gave.                                                            She loved. She created.                                                                         She dissented. She enlivened.                                                           She saw. She grew. She sweated.                                                     She changed. She learned.                                                                   She laughed. She shed her skin.                                                       She bled on the pages of her days.                                                   She walked through walls.                                                                  She lived with intention.                                                                                              Mary Anne Radmacher

I love to dance, so this spoke to me right away and created a picture in my mind.  I immediately printed it out and taped it up in my kitchen where I see it several times a day.  It energizes and focuses me and reminds to infuse my day with Intention .

Setting down baggage and letting things end is not easy.  It is not an all or nothing decision.  For me it is about letting things end in the form they are currently in, and then feeling if there is a new form taking shape or if there is space created for something completely new to come in.  And it’s a process.

To go along with this idea, I randomly selected three Angel Cards.  I ended up with Freedom  – “You are free to change your experience by changing the criteria upon which you base your decisions.  Let go of old trappings and express your uniqueness”; Forgiveness – “Let go of resentments, judgments and fears and reduce your investment in staying hurt or angry. To forgive is to live in a world that is at peace with human nature”; Enthusiasm – “Be present with zestful alertness! Loosen your constraints and let your passion for life uplift others and generate new opportunities”.

All of this has come together to support me on my journey.  Who knows where this will lead?!

What is your Intention for the year? I hope you enjoyed reading this.  Peace Love & Light

At random I chose 3 Angel Cards and came up with Freedom, Forgiveness and Enthusiasm .
