- 1 Cup dried penne pasta
- 2 Cup water
- 2 tbsp pesto sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- grated parmesan cheese
Place pasta, salt and pepper, and water into the pasta cooker, close lid and cook in microwave for 13 to 14 minutes (longer is softer) 800 watts*
Remove from microwave, reverse the lid, drain most of the excess water from the pasta cooker, leaving just a few drops.
Add pesto to the pasta and mix. The extra water will thin the sauce just a touch.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve.
NOTE: this recipe can also be made in the steam case. Adjust cooking time to 11 – 12 minutes at 800 watts.
